How much milk should you be drinking?

Updated: Jun 3, 2019

You may be shocked to learn that most of us adults no longer drink milk. Furthermore, many of our children are withdrawing from milk every day, well too early at age, while we should never stop drinking milk!

If you are not drinking milk, then what are you drinking to keep your body healthy? Give a thought, are your milk alternatives really a solution?

While you debate…

Here is the only fact. When it’s not processed, straight from the source, whole raw milk is one of the only food products in the world that has remained unaltered genetically from the beginning of time.

Milk’s essential nutrients can be difficult to replace in a healthy eating pattern. Every glass of milk provides you with nine essential nutrients like high-quality protein, calcium, and is a packed-punch of essential vitamins and minerals; vitamin A, B, D, E, K and magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc and selenium. These nutrients help our bodies self-regulate and function properly. For example, protein helps rebuild and repair muscle tissue while calcium and vitamin D help support and maintain strong bones and teeth.

One glass of milk provides (8-ounces or 230 ml) more than half of calcium required per day for your child (aged between 1-11 years) and about a quarter for you as adults.

A recent study found that higher consumption of milk, at leat 2 servings per day, is associated with reduced risk of mortality, non-cardiovascular, major cardiovascular disease and stroke.

Sadly, we all have many reasons why we as family have chosen to purchase milk alternatives or stoped drinking milk altogether. Ultimately, we are increasingly noticing a shocking direct result of rise in gut and digestion disorders, at an alarming rate, as a result of our reliance on processed milk and food, but all is not lost.

Act today. Include 3 servings of raw milk daily in your diet.
